America First Policies Welcomes Confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court

Today, the U.S. Senate swiftly confirmed Judge Amy Coney Barrett to serve on the Supreme Court. Justice Barrett will steadfastly apply the Constitution as written and deliver impartial justice.

America First Policies President Brian O. Walsh stated:

“America just got another exceptional and conservative Supreme Court Justice thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Senate Republicans. I commend the work of Leader McConnell and Chairman Graham for ensuring Judge Barrett received a fair confirmation process. America First is proud to have advocated for Judge Barrett’s confirmation as we are confident she will serve with distinction and be of great service to the American people and in advancing the rule of law.”

America First Policies invested more than $5 million on national television, digital, and direct-mail advertising to advance Barrett’s nomination. The group also launched www.AmyConeyBarrett.info to educate Americans about President Trump’s nominee.

Throughout her Senate hearings, Judge Barrett demonstrated a deep understanding of the law and her commitment to upholding the Constitution as written. A true originalist, Barrett remained steadfast in separating her personal convictions from the duties of a judge.

Barrett’s education and career demonstrate her clear qualifications to serve on the Court. Barrett graduated Summa Cum Laude from Notre Dame Law School, clerked for D.C. Circuit Judge Laurence Silberman and Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court, practiced both trial and appellate litigation in Washington, and sat on the Advisory Committee on Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, all before serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit beginning in 2017.

Barrett’s legacy in academia is marked with praise from former students, bipartisan support from colleagues, and approval from the American Bar Association. Her character and work have indisputably prepared her for serving on the Nation’s highest Court.

Barrett will bring the Court a unique perspective as the first female Justice with school-aged children and the only present Republican-appointed woman. Her confirmation is a victory for the rule of law and Americans across the country.

America First Policies Praises Judge Barrett’s Nomination, Launches More than $5M Ad Buy

President Donald J. Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett for the United States Supreme Court is a victory for the American people and the rule of law.

Like Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, Judge Barrett was selected by President Trump because of her impeccable credentials and her impartial, fair, and faithful reading of the Constitution.

To help advance her nomination, America First Policies has committed more than $5 million on a national television, digital, and direct-mail advertising buy. Our first national commercial “We” will be televised on Tuesday, September 29th during the first Presidential debate.

Judge Barrett is a gifted jurist, a beloved mother of seven, and an exceptional choice for the United States Supreme Court, who should be swiftly confirmed.

“We”

Letter from Notre Dame Law School Faculty:

“As a scholarly community, we have a wide range of political views. We are united, however, in our judgment about Amy. She is a brilliant teacher and scholar. She possesses all of the qualities that shape extraordinary jurists…intellect, wisdom, impeccable temperament, and above all fundamental decency. Amy is a role model for all of us. It is our country’s great fortune that Amy Coney Barrett has stepped forward to serve and we urge her expeditious confirmation.”

America First Policies Announces the “Great American Comeback Tour”

Policy events throughout the country with special guests.  First event includes Vice President Michael R. Pence

America First Policies is beginning the “Great American Comeback Tour” with special guest, Vice President Michael R. Pence at our first event in Pennsylvania.  These important policy events follow the successful “Tax Cuts to put America First” and “USMCA: A Better Deal for America Workers” policy events American First Policies conducted in 2018 and 2019.  The “Great American Comeback Tour” will take place across the country, featuring special guests from the Trump Administration, along with federal, state, and local elected officials and private sector experts, to mobilize and educate citizens behind policies that will drive America’s economic recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first stop will be in Sarver, Pennsylvania on June 12th at Oberg Industries.

“The latest jobs report only highlights how eager Americans are to get back to work and open their businesses.  America First Policies has laid out a ‘Great American Comeback’ agenda that includes important steps Congress can take to help supercharge our economic recovery,” said Brian O. Walsh, President of America First Policies. “Learn more at www.GreatAmericanComebackTour.org.”

According to a new poll commissioned by America First Policies, Americans overwhelmingly support conservative policies aimed at restarting our economy.

Survey Results:

Two-thirds of respondents (67%) believe their state and local economies are opening at the correct pace or not quickly enough.

On economic policies the American public overwhelmingly support the following, currently being debated in Congress:

“Here are some proposals that have been made to improve the American economy. Please tell me whether you support or oppose each.”

Moreover, a majority of respondents favor changes to federal unemployment benefits to encourage economic growth, rather than provide an incentive for the unemployed to stay out of the labor market:

“Do you think that people who have lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 shutdown should receive unemployment benefits equal to, more than, or less than their previous wages?”

Sixty-one percent of participants polled have not had their health, or the health of someone they know impacted by the coronavirus, however, 70% of those polled have had their job, or the job of someone they know, personally impacted by the coronavirus.

The survey was conducted May 23-25, 2020 with a margin of error +/- 3.46%.

Americans want to get back to work and reignite the American economy. America First Policies looks forward to joining with special guest Vice President Mike Pence to highlight these concerns, elevate the economic policy proposals that work, and listen to the needs of small businesses and their employees across the country.

Swing-state voters favor Trump over Biden on China, protecting businesses: Poll

In a battleground survey commissioned by America First Policies, a majority of Americans approve of President Donald J. Trump's handling of the economy, efforts aimed at stemming the coronavirus and reopening the country.

Swing-state voters trust President Trump more than Joe Biden to stand up to China, fight for better trade deals, and put American workers first.

Results: Do you approve or disapprove of the job President Trump is doing on each of the following:

On restricting travel to and from China during the coronavirus pandemic:

  •  70% approve; 26% disapprove

On negotiating and demanding favorable trade deals for American workers:

  • 57% approve; 38% disapprove

On helping small businesses survive and get through the pandemic shutdown:

  • 56% approve; 42% disapprove

On standing up to China and holding them accountable:

  • 55% approve; 39% disapprove

On handling the economy:

  • 55% approve; 42 disapprove

On creating a plan to put Americans back to work and reopen our country:

  • 52% approve; 44% disapprove

Seventy-five percent of participants polled have a negative view of the government of China, with 57% believing China should be penalized for their role in the spread of the coronavirus.

Seventy-five percent would support the federal government giving companies tax incentives to move their manufacturing production back to the U.S. and an overwhelming majority (75%) would be willing to pay more for these goods.

A majority (55%) agree the American economy should start to reopen, and 67% support the President's three-phased reopening approach based on the advice of public health efforts.

In terms of economic policies Congress is considering, 74% of respondents support the inclusion of legal liability protections in the next coronavirus relief bill and only 28% support a universal basic income.

Among the top issues for Congress and the President to address in 2020, ending the pandemic ranks number one (52%), followed by creating new jobs and improving the economy (47%) and then lowering the cost of healthcare (43%).

The survey was conducted May 15-17, 2020 in nine battleground states, with a margin of error +/- 3.83%. To read the complete poll, click here.

America First Policies Starts Anti-Impeachment Ads in Pennsylvania, Michigan

America First Policies Starts Anti-Impeachment Ads in Pennsylvania, Michigan

Arlington, VA – America First Policies will start airing anti-impeachment ads in Pennsylvania and Michigan today.

The Michigan ad will run in the Grand Rapids, Flint, and Traverse City markets. The Pennsylvania ad will run in the Harrisburg and Wilkes Barre region. Each market will air live on broadcast television along with cable spots on Fox News.

Each state is receiving over $200k of broadcast media, combined with the digital spending this represents over $500k total between these states.

As a reminder, we kicked off this advertising last week with a hard-hitting ad in Alabama urging Doug Jones to reconsider his stance. That ad began last Wednesday and will run statewide with a Fox News cable supplement finishing this Thursday. The overall ad buy is $1 million on television and digital.

Final Michigan Script: (To watch the ad, click here)

VO: A rigged partisan line vote…posing for smiling photos even commemorative pens for the occasion…but what do our senators say about this mockery?

STABENOW: I very impressed and proud of what the Speaker and Democrats have done...

PETERS: This is a very, very serious situation…

VO: The radical left is wasting America’s time with this impeachment scandal when they could be confirming conservative judges. Call Senators Peters and Senator Stabenow. Tell them end this travesty. Oppose impeachment.

Final Pennsylvania Script: (To watch the ad, click here)

SCHIFF: The remedy is impeachment

TITUS: I’d like to impeach the *explicative* right now

VO: But for the radical left this is really about one thing, winning the White House.

GREEN: If we don’t impeach this president, he will get reelected.

VO: The left’s impeachment scam exposed. Instead of standing up for America and securing our borders, Bob Casey is standing with radicals. So, call Senator Bob Casey. Tell him you’re sick of the radical left abusing their power. Oppose impeachment.

Last year, America First Policies ran a two-pronged "End the Witch Hunt" anti-impeachment advertising buy, totaling more than $3 million dollars. Overall, our efforts generated more than 44,000 calls into Democratic districts, so much so Michigan's Elissa Slotkin admitted to Fox News her office had to install a third telephone line to keep up with the demands of her constituents to "End the Witch Hunt."

Final Script:

                SCHIFF: The remedy is impeachment…

                PELOSI: Impeachment…

                WATERS: Impeachment…

VO: The radical left’s impeachment obsession, it’s a shameful witch hunt.

And Doug Jones…

JONES: It’s not a witch hunt, it’s not a hoax.

VO: Instead of fighting for our values.

Instead of confirming conservative judges.

Instead of securing our borders by funding the wall.

Jones is siding with them.

JONES: It’s not a witch hunt, it’s not a hoax.

VO: So call Doug Jones. Tell him to stop standing with the radical left, and end impeachment.

Last year, America First Policies ran a two-pronged "End the Witch Hunt" anti-impeachment ad buy, totaling more than $3 million dollars. Overall, our efforts generated more than 44,000 calls into Congressional districts, so much so that Michigan's Elissa Slotkin admitted to Fox News that her office had to install a third telephone line to keep up with the demands of her constituents to "End the Witch Hunt." America First Policies Announces $2M Anti-Impeachment Ad Buy

America First Policies Starts Phase 2 of its “End the Witch Hunt” Campaign

“Instead of focusing their time and taxpayer money on hyper-partisan investigations, Congress needs to get back to the work of the people. This impeachment charade has gone on for far too long and has produced no evidence the President is guilty of any crime. It's time for Congress to pass USMCA, fund the military, and approve legislation that will further fuel the American economy.” – Brian O. Walsh, president of America First Policies

Arlington, VA – America First Policies is starting a second round of its "End the Witch Hunt" campaign, launching a $2 million-dollar advertisement spend on 27 Congressmen who will likely be the swing legislators on an impeachment vote.

America First Policies is looking to mobilize constituents to hold their Congressional members accountable and let them know it’s time to end the witch-hunt, oppose impeachment, and get back to the work of the American people. Our first round of $1 million in ads, launched in October, generated more than 34,000 calls to Congressional offices.

Today's campaign includes a $400,000 digital ad buy, $276,750 newspaper spend, and $1.6 million on cable and broadcast television.

To watch the ad, click here.

A combination of the digital, television and text messaging will start today, and will continue until December 16. Television ads will air in 14 districts.

In addition, America First Policies has conducted focus groups and has done polling that suggest constituents in these districts oppose impeachment, and overwhelmingly want Congress to stop wasting their time and taxpayer money on this partisan witch-hunt.  To see the results of the polling, click here. America First Policies Unveils Real-Time Illegal Immigration “Ticker Truck”

America First Policies today announced that it has developed a “ticker” that displays the estimated number of illegal attempted border crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border since the start of the new year. The ticker was launched on the America First Policies homepage today.

In addition, a truck displaying a mobile billboard with the ever-increasing real-time number also hit the streets of Washington, D.C., this morning. For seven days (Feb. 6 to Feb. 12), from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the truck will follow a standard route that loops around the Supreme Court, the National Mall, Capitol Hill, and the White House.

“Our ticker is a real-time reminder of the ticking time bomb happening at our border, and a wake-up call to Congress that the time has come, quite literally, to build the wall,” said Erin Montgomery, communications director for America First Policies. “Every 48 seconds, another person attempts to illegally cross our southern border. That’s 1,809 people per day. How many illegal crossings will it take before Congress follows President Trump’s lead and puts the safety and security of the American people first?”

The website ticker and mobile billboard are part of a $1.1 million advocacy campaign by America First Policies to secure our borders. The nonprofit has also launched national television and digital ads that show the devastating consequences of an unsecure border.

The estimate on the ticker is based on U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Southwest Border Apprehensions for Fiscal Year 2018 and the first two months of Fiscal Year 2019 (October and November 2018), as well as the Department of Homeland Security’s Border Security Metrics Report from May 1, 2018, which estimates the Border Patrol had a 64.8 percent apprehension rate for illegal entrants between ports of entry on the southwestern border in 2016 (Table 1, page 11).

America First Policies Drops $500,000 To Support Gina Haspel As CIA Director

This Wednesday, America First Policies is launching a $500,000 issue advocacy initiative encouraging West Virginians to call Senator Joe Manchin and urge him to vote “yes” on Gina Haspel's nomination to be CIA Director.

To view the ad, click here.

The issue advocacy initiative will include broadcast, cable, digital and calls to citizens.

“Gina Haspel is an exceptional nominee with the record of service that America can be proud of.  The bipartisan support she has received by leaders of our national security infrastructure reflect the deep respect for her service to America and the proven leadership she will provide in defending our nation,” stated Brian O. Walsh, president of America First Policies.  “Senator Manchin needs to rise above the partisan fray and put the security of America first.”

The New York Post Editorial Board noted, “Haspel would be not only the first woman to head the CIA, but also the first career officer in 52 years to rise through the ranks directly to the director’s chair. Little wonder that she’s won the enthusiastic support of past CIA directors from both parties … She has headed four CIA stations across the globe, been a senior official in the CIA’s Russia operation, held several top roles in the division responsible for covert operations and, post-9/11, was a senior-level supervisor in counterterrorism. Her integrity — and, significantly, her political impartiality — are unchallenged … Gina Haspel, quite simply, is one of Trump’s most capable and distinguished appointments. She deserves quick confirmation — without partisan theatrics,”

America First Policies support for Haspel was first highlighted by Axios.

America First Polling Shows Doug Jones Trailing by 1 Point

Two Alabama polls commissioned by America First Policies in the month of November show Democrat candidate Doug Jones now losing to Republican Roy Moore by 1 point in the special election fight for the U.S. Senate seat.

America First Policies fielded two surveys, one in mid-November (Nov. 13 to 15) and another later in the month (Nov. 26 to 28) to gauge the sentiment of Alabama voters who will head to the polls on December 12.

In the initial survey, Jones led Moore on the initial ballot by eight points (49% Jones – 41% Moore). The latter survey shows Jones’ lead dropping, now trailing Moore 46% to 45%, a 9-point swing in just a couple weeks.

“Although there has been a massive amount of investment and media attention surrounding the race, Doug Jones has tumbled,” said Brian O. Walsh, president of America First Policies. “This election is a dead heat and far from over.”

Methodology:

Alabama statewide quantitative research was conducted between November 13-15, 2017, and again between November 26-28, 2017, among N = 600 likely 2018 Alabama special election voters using a split-sample of 1/4 Landline, 1/4 Cell phone, and 1/2 Internet. Margin of error: + 4.0%

Survey Reveals Large Majority of Voters Support Law Enforcement and Merit-Based Reforms to Immigration

A recent national survey commissioned by America First Policies reflects the American voters’ support for law enforcement solutions for illegal immigration, as well as merit-based reforms to the legal immigration system.

“Looking closely at reforms proposed by the presidential administration and Congress, we found strong support across the ideological spectrum for reforms to our immigration system, especially reforms that are based on enhanced law enforcement and the merit of individuals,” said Brian O. Walsh, president of America First Policies.

In the area of law enforcement solutions for illegal immigration, 82 percent of survey respondents said they support Kate’s Law, named after Kate Steinle, who, in 2015, was shot and killed in San Francisco by an illegal immigrant who had seven previous felony convictions and had been deported to Mexico five times.

Kate’s Law strengthens sentencing penalties for illegal immigrants who had previously been deported and strengthens laws against illegal immigrants who commit crimes in the United States. Passed by the House in late June, Kate’s Law has yet to be passed by the Senate. (92% of Republican, 75% of Democrat, and 82% of Independent survey respondents support the law.)

Other key findings in the area of law enforcement solutions include:

  • 76 percent of voters said they support increasing the number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers to protect public safety and national security.
  • 75 percent support President Trump’s effort to target MS-13 and other violent gangs and cartels.
  • 64 percent support the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act, which would cut some federal grants to cities that refuse to turn over criminal illegal aliens.
  • In the area of merit-based reforms to the legal immigration system, 73 percent would support a new requirement that incoming immigrants must be able to support themselves financially.

Other key findings in the area of merit-based reforms include:

  • 68 percent support increasing the amount companies must pay H-1B workers as a way to encourage those companies to employ more Americans. H-1B visas are used by employers to hire foreign workers for jobs in the science and technology fields, often at lower wages than those paid to Americans.
  • 64 percent of voters support legislation that would create a point system based on factors such as English-speaking ability, education levels, and job skills to rank applicants for the 140,000 employment-based green cards that are granted annually by the United States.

Survey Methodology: Survey was conducted between August 11-13, 2017, among N = 1,202 Registered Voters using a split-sample of 1/3 Landline, 1/3 Cell phone, and 1/3 Internet. Margin of error: + 2.8%

Tax Reform Research Results: A Simplified Tax System That Helps the Middle Class Get Ahead

Recent focus groups and a national survey commissioned by America First Policies reflect American voters’ support for a simpler and fairer tax system that will directly help the middle class to keep more of their hard-earned money.

The survey, a follow-up to an earlier tax poll conducted in June, shows that 61% of American voters remain dissatisfied with the current federal income tax system.

When asked the open-ended question of why they are dissatisfied, respondents cited loopholes and paying too much in taxes as the biggest reasons for their disappointment.

In focus groups conducted in Ohio and Florida in August, respondents repeatedly used the words “simpler,” “fairer,” and “streamlined” when describing what they want to see in a revamped tax system.

“You need an advanced degree to navigate the tax code,” said one survey participant, Nancy from Columbus, Ohio.

“I favor lowering taxes for businesses, [so that we can] keep jobs in the United States,” said Martha from Tampa, Florida.

Additionally, key findings from an August national survey included:

  • Voters want lower taxes for ordinary, middle-class American families: More than 7 in 10 voters (71%) believe the middle class can get ahead when they save money, as well as have more funds for the things they need, like medicine, school supplies, and clothing. They can save money when we reduce the amount of taxes they have to pay to the federal government.
  • Voters believe our tax system is archaic: 72% of respondents agreed with the statement “Our current tax system is archaic, and streamlining the tax code will make the process easier to understand, and more transparent to the average American.”
  • Simpler is better: 68% of respondents agreed with the statement “Simplifying our tax code will make it easier for millions of Americans to file their own taxes using just one sheet of paper.”

“The American people are tired of the complex and archaic tax code and understand that a simpler, fairer tax code will deliver jobs and economic opportunity for ordinary, middle-class Americans,” said Brian O. Walsh, president of America First Policies.

Survey Methodology: Survey was conducted between August 16 – 18, 2017, among N = 1,200 Registered Voters using a split-sample of 1/3 Landline, 1/3 Cell phone, and 1/3 Internet. Margin of error: + 2.8%

Survey Reveals Large Majority of Voters Dissatisfied with Federal Income Tax System, Support a Fairer and Simpler Approach

A recent national survey commissioned by America First Policies reflects the American voters’ dissatisfaction with the country’s federal income tax system.

The survey shows that 66 percent of American voters are dissatisfied with the current federal income tax system. Dissatisfaction is widespread with at least six in ten voters in each of the partisan voter segments registering their disapproval (Republicans 75%; Independents 66%; Democrats 61%). In addition, 82 percent of all voters polled believe tax reform needs to be passed.

“Our polling reveals that our burdensome and badly broken tax system is truly a bipartisan concern,” said Brian O. Walsh, president of America First Policies. “The survey also shows that a majority of voters do see a solution in the proposed tax reform plans being discussed by Congress and the White House.”

According to the poll, what voters like most about the current tax reform proposal is that it will make the tax code simpler and fairer, while providing relief for working families and encouraging job creation. Specific elements and impacts of tax reform that voters find most appealing are:

  • Making the tax code simpler, fairer, and flatter, so that it’s not only easier to do your taxes, but it’s also easier to have peace of mind at critical moments, whether it’s going to school, getting a job, raising a family, or planning for retirement (83% favor).
  • Providing tax relief for families with child and dependent care expenses (83% favor).
  • Maintaining as tax deductions the interest on homeowner mortgages, charitable giving, and retirement savings (84% favor).
  • Delivering a 21st-century American tax code that is built for growth—the growth of families’ paychecks, the growth of local businesses, and the growth of our economy as a whole (80% favor).
  • Modernizing the tax code to encourage corporations to stay in America and create new jobs at home, and will even encourage foreign companies to relocate here (84% favor).
  • Clearing out the bureaucracy by doing away with all the rules, regulations, forms, and instructions that won’t be needed with a simpler, fairer tax code (69% favor).
  • Raising wages for American workers and create nearly 2 million full-time jobs in the United States (76% favor).

“This data shows that voters want a simpler, fairer tax code that benefits American families, American workers, and American businesses,” added Walsh.

Survey Methodology: Survey was conducted between June 25-28, 2017, among N = 1,202 Registered Voters using a split-sample of 1/3 Landline, 1/3 Cell phone, and 1/3 Internet. Margin of error: +2.8%

America First Policies Releases Anticipated Ads Aimed at Senator Dean Heller of Nevada

America First Policies today released television and radio ads urging Senator Dean Heller of Nevada to vote “yes” on the U.S. Senate’s health care bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act, which is scheduled for a vote this week.

The TV and radio ads will run in Nevada in the days before the vote, and the message is clear: “Call Senator Heller. Tell him America needs him to keep his promise: Vote ‘yes’ to repeal and replace Obamacare.”

Brian Walsh, president of America First Policies, said the following upon the ad’s release:

“In 2012, Senator Heller said, ‘This onerous law needs to be repealed and replaced with market-based reforms that will provide greater access, affordability, and economic certainty to our nation.’ We agree, and that time is now. There is no excuse for any Republican or Democrat to oppose the Senate health care bill outright, when Obamacare is collapsing and putting the American people in crisis. Instead of putting this bill in jeopardy, undermining those Senators still working toward a solution and abandoning the commitment he and every other elected Republican has made to the American people, Senator Heller needs to find a way to get to ‘yes’ and keep this process moving.”

Walsh also pointed to a recent opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, which encourages Senator Heller to get to yes:

“Some Senators can’t be placated on substance and they may decide that defeating the bill is better for them politically. This is pure fantasy. Democrats won’t ease their opposition to Nevada’s Dean Heller in 2018 if he votes no. They’ll double their investment against him as Mr. Heller’s political base sours on him. When you face a tough political choice, better to stick with your friends than bet on the kindness of political enemies.”

The Heller ads come on the heels of a larger, 18-state blitz to pass the health care bill.

America First Policies Releases TV Ads Calling on Eight Senators to Repeal and Replace Obamacare

Today, America First Policies released ads in eight states represented by Democrat Senators: Indiana (Sen. Donnelly), Michigan (Sen. Stabenow), Missouri (Sen. McCaskill), Montana (Sen. Tester), North Dakota (Sen. Heitkamp), Ohio (Sen. Brown), Virginia (Sen. Kaine), and West Virginia (Sen. Manchin). The ads encourage constituents to call their respective senators and urge them to vote “yes” on the U.S. Senate’s health care bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act, which is scheduled for a vote this week.

“Obamacare is dead, and President Trump and leaders in Congress are working hard to repeal and replace it immediately,” said Katrina Pierson, spokeswoman for America First Policies. “America First is appealing to voters in these states to encourage these senators to send a clear message to their elected officials: ‘vote yes to repeal and replace Obamacare now.’”

“America First is running ads in the states of these eight Senators because they too should hear from their constituents about supporting this bill,” Pierson added. “The American people, including President Trump’s supporters, want to see this bill passed this week.  Millions of Americans are suffering under Obamacare and obstruction is not a solution. The choice is simple: these Senators need to stand with the American people or with the liberal leadership in Washington.”

The ads are part of a larger 18-state blitz to pass the Senate health care bill. Beginning in early June, America First Policies has been urging constituents to call their Senators and support the repeal and replacement of Obamacare in Ohio, Nevada, Alaska, Texas, Utah, Louisiana, Maine, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Iowa, and North Dakota. In addition to these television advertisements, America First Policies will continue making calls to voters, along with digital advertising.

America First Policies Releases New Ad, “Shaken”

America First Policies today released its latest ad, “Shaken,” which features a smattering of angry and frustrated media outlets and celebrities who are “waging an all-out war” against President Donald Trump and his policies, and calls on the president’s supporters to continue making their voices heard, despite the liberal establishment that seeks to drown them out.

The launch of the ad comes on the heels of a historic election Tuesday night, when Georgians in the state’s 6th Congressional District elected Republican candidate Karen Handel to the seat left open by Congressman Tom Price, now Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. In the most expensive U.S. House race in history, Handel’s opponent, Democrat Jon Ossoff, was the beneficiary of millions of dollars in donations by Hollywood celebrities and others who hoped for a damning referendum on the Trump presidency. Handel is the first Republican woman from Georgia to be elected to Congress.

As Ms. Handel took the stage Tuesday night to address her supporters, she took a moment to thank a special supporter, President Trump, and the crowd began chanting his name.

“We at America First Policies congratulate Karen Handel on her hard-fought victory and were proud to play a role in supporting her campaign,” said Brian Walsh, president of America First Policies, the nonprofit organization supporting President Trump’s key policy initiatives. “We are also proud to share with you our latest ad, ‘Shaken,’ which is no doubt how the liberal elite—from Hollywood to Washington—are feeling right now in the wake of another devastating defeat.”

Walsh added, “The American people spoke last November. The people of Kansas spoke in April. The people of Montana spoke last month. Now, the people of South Carolina and Georgia once again sent a clear message to the liberal elite: You do not represent us, or our values. It is time to end the obstruction and the resistance, and work with President Trump to put America First.”
